Ergonomic Support: Work comfortably, feel better
Especially when performing several procedures in a row, ergonomics cannot be overestimated.
A comfortable posture allows you to fully concentrate on your patient
An upright posture reduces strain in your neck, shoulders, and back
Seamless control via footswitch and microscope handle avoid unnecessary movement and a strained posture
The M822 ophthalmic microscope is available with a large selection of binocular tubes for individual needs to increase comfort.
Uninterrupted workflow
In an OR, several aspects contribute to a smooth workflow, even before a procedure begins.
Set up the microscope quickly for each surgeon thanks to personalized settings for up to 30 possible profiles
Refocus less and save time thanks to the combination of illumination and high-transmission Leica optics which deliver great depth of field
Progress smoothly through surgery phases with the StepCycle function. Simply activate these programmed settings for illumination, focus, and zoom via footswitch e.g., during Capsulorhexis and Phacoemulsification
After a procedure, all microscope functions can be automatically reset by simply moving the swingarm up and away from the operating table. The microscope is directly ready for the next procedure, and your staff does not need to reset the system, which saves time.
Record and share easily in HD
The HD C 100 medical camera from Leica Microsystems allows surgeons to take images and record videos in full HD quality.
Easily display them on an external monitor to share the view with your entire OR team.
Furthermore, you can equip the M822 with the EVO 4K video recording and documentation system to use enhanced documentation features.
EVO 4K is a trademark of Med X Change, registered in the U.S. and other countries.
Adaptable microscope for more eye surgeries
Even though cataract surgeries may be the most frequent, also other patient conditions must be cared for.
The M822 has interfaces to accept and easily mount further retinal and cataract accessories, such as:
- Use the ToricEyePiece to help you place toric IOLs in cataract surgery
- Use the Keratoscope, a ring illuminator, to qualitatively evaluate the corneal curvature of the eye for astigmatism
- Use the retinal wide-angle viewing system RUV800 for an upright view of the retina
- Use the Oculus SDI 4/ BIOM 5® system for retinal procedures
